2017 Music Gala: Broadway at the Mission Inn
BROADWAY AT THE MISSION INN THE GRAND PARISIAN BALLROOM 3649 Mission Inn Avenue • Riverside, CA 92501 • 6PM-9PM attire: black-tie optional You are cordially invited to attend the second annual Music Gala benefitting scholarships for students in the La Sierra University Department of Music, enabling them to pursue their educational and performance dreams at La Sierra University. La Sierra’s Music concerts and operas regularly feature some of the highest quality music in Inland Southern California and bring professional musicians such as Midori and Los Angeles Philharmonic concertmaster Martin Chalfour to La Sierra students, faculty, and audiences. Maestro Massimiliano Messieri, who presented master classes at La Sierra in 2015 and 2016 for the Wind Ensemble, student conductors and composers, was so impressed by the faculty and students’ hard work and ethics (did Elvin mean work ethic?), that he asked the Wind Ensemble to debut his original composition Dreamland at two invitation-only music festivals in Europe this summer, The Forfest and Maskfest International New Music Festivals. The Wind Ensemble will also premiere works by local Italian composers, LSU students, and Professor […]
