The 41st Annual International Bamboo Organ Festival will feature three pieces related to the research of Assistant Professor of Music David Kendall. These pieces were discovered, transcribed, and edited as part of Professor Kendall’s ongoing research into the liturgical music of the Spanish colonial Philippines. The International Bamboo Organ Festival features performances by internationally renowned organists, soloists and instrumental and choral ensembles, and features the bamboo organ of Las Piñas, a unique instrument built by Fr. Diego Cera, O.A.R. in 1816.
