Student Recital Series: Benjamin Tecson, piano

STUDENT RECITAL SERIES:

BENJAMIN TECSON, piano

Join us for a wonderful evening recital given by junior piano performance major Benjamin Tecson. Benjamin will be performing the following works:

  • Sonata in Eb-Major, Hob. XVI:52 | Joseph Haydn (1732-1809)
    • Allegro Moderato
  • Mephisto Waltz No. 1, S. 514 | Franz Liszt (1811-1886)
  • Sonata No. 7, Op. 83 | Sergey Prokofiev (1891-1953)
    • Precipitato
  • Toccata Op. 15 | Robert Muczynski (1929-2010)

This event will take place at La Sierra University’s Hole Memorial Auditorium. Parking and admission are free. Doors will open at 6:45 pm.

BENJAMIN TECSON is third-year student, pursuing his Undergraduate Degree in Music Performance: Piano.  Born in Alta Loma, he began his piano studies at age 7 with Yaffa Alayev, taking lessons with her for four years.  He has been under the mentorship of Dr. Elvin Rodriguez for the past nine years.

Benjamin is the recipient of many achievements and rewards.  Such honors include: 2013 Panel Honors Audition & 2014 Masterclass, Inland Empire Solo and Concerto Competition, The Steinway Society of Riverside County, CAPMT Piano Competition, and 54th Annual Concert Concert at La Sierra University.

In addition to piano, Benjamin is also teaching himself guitar, bass, and is taking percussion lessons with M. B. Gordy. Apart from his studies, he is working on a solo EP, and serves at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside as one of their keys worship leaders.
